Which vehicles we test
The Ontario Heavy-Duty Diesel Emissions Test (DriveON) — SAE snap-acceleration smoke opacity test — is required for:
Diesel trucks 7 years and older
Diesel trucks with a gross vehicle weight over 4,500 kg, seven years old or more.
Plate transfers
The same diesel trucks when plates change because of a new owner or company, regardless of the truck's age.
Road-going equipment
Excavators and other equipment, only if they can travel on public roads and carry a licence plate.
We perform the emissions test only. We don't offer CARB Clean Truck Check, DPF cleaning, repairs or safety inspections.

Common questions
Does my truck need an emissions test?
Diesel trucks over 4,500 kg gross vehicle weight need the test once they are seven years old or more. The same trucks also need it when plates are transferred to a new owner or company, at any age. Equipment such as excavators qualifies only if it can travel on public roads and has a licence plate.
What happens if a truck fails?
The retest is free within 30 days.
Do you charge for travel or have a minimum?
No travel fee within our service area, and no minimum. We come out for a single truck.
When do I get the certificate?
On site, right after the test, in your yard.
